General Dentistry in Cary, North Carolina

The Goodall team is at your service for any dental procedure you might need.

Dental Exams & Cleanings

Brushing and flossing at home go a long way, but they can’t remove hardened plaque (tartar) or catch problems early. Seeing us twice a year for an exam and professional cleaning keeps your teeth and gums healthy and helps stop small issues before they turn into bigger, costlier ones.

Digital & 3D (CBCT) X-Rays

This cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) innovation in dental X-Rays provides a variety of 2-D and 3-D views of your teeth with a very small dose of radiation. We utilize the latest technologies to provide the greatest benefit, such as performing a jaw joint assessment, detection of oral cancer, and diagnosing advanced periodontal disease.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Cavities can happen even with great home care. We remove the decay and fill the tooth with a tooth-colored material shaped to match your natural tooth, so the repair is strong and hard to see.

Crowns & Bridges

A crown covers and protects a tooth that is cracked, badly worn, or weakened by a large filling or root canal. A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by attaching to the healthy teeth on either side. Both are custom-made to match your smile and bring back comfortable chewing.

Root Canal Therapy

When infection or inflammation reaches the inside of a tooth, root canal therapy removes the damaged tissue, relieves the pain, and seals the tooth. It’s a common, routine treatment that lets you keep your natural tooth instead of having it pulled.

Dental Bonding

Bonding is a quick, affordable fix for chipped, discolored, or slightly uneven teeth. We apply a tooth-colored resin, shape it, and harden it in place, often in a single visit.

Oral Cancer Screening

Every routine exam includes an oral cancer screening, a quick check of your mouth, tongue, throat, and neck for anything unusual. Oral cancer is much easier to treat when it’s found early, which makes this simple check an important part of your regular visits.

Gum (Periodontal) Care

Gum disease is a leading cause of tooth loss in adults, and it often causes no pain in its early stages. We check your gums at every visit and offer treatment such as deep cleanings to control infection, stop bone loss, and protect your smile for the long term.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to common questions about our practice, for any further questions, please reach out to us!

How often should I get a dental cleaning?

Most patients should have a cleaning and exam every six months. If you have gum disease or a higher risk of cavities, we may recommend visits every three to four months.

Do dental X-rays hurt or expose me to much radiation?

No. Our digital and 3D CBCT X-rays are painless and use a very low dose of radiation. CBCT checkup X-rays can even be taken outside the mouth for patients with a strong gag reflex.

Are your fillings silver or tooth-colored?

We use tooth-colored composite fillings that blend in with your natural tooth.

Is a root canal painful?

With modern anesthesia, a root canal feels much like getting a filling. Most patients feel relief because the procedure removes the source of their pain.

Crown vs. filling – how do I know which I need?

A filling repairs a small cavity. A crown covers and protects a tooth that is cracked, badly decayed or has had a root canal. We’ll show you your X-rays and explain the difference.

Do you take my insurance?

Most PPO plans cover preventive cleanings and exams at or near 100%. Call (919) 336-5245 and we’ll check your benefits.

How long does a cleaning appointment take?

About 60 minutes for a regular cleaning and exam; new patient visits may take a bit longer, especially if you haven’t been to the dentist in awhile.
