These are the signs to watch out for if you develop a toothache. So many things could be causing your toothache. Whether it be tooth decay, breakdown of enamel, gum disease, sensitive teeth, etc., you need to make sure you stay on top of your pain and come see us right away. If you ignore your pain for too long, the problem could worsen and the amount of fixing that needs to be done to your teeth could grow exponentially. If you can’t come in and see us right away for any reason, here are a few things you can do to ease your pain until it is possible:

  • Place ice against the area where there is pain.
  • Take ibuprofen or Tylenol
  • Consult with your dentist over the phone about other pain relief options until an appointment is made.
